Christmas Gift Baskets and Hampers - About The Complete Basket Case

Christmas Gift Baskets

Our Christmas Gift Baskets

We have tried a variety of different ideas for making Christmas fun and exciting. Although we still do Christmas stockings for our children we have tried doing Christmas Gift Baskets for other friends and families. We have even given Christmas Gift Baskets from our non-profit to donors. We have filled the baskets with a variety of goodies. Some of the Christmas gift baskets have been filled with dozens of varieties of homemade Christmas cookies. Other baskets have been filled with a more traditional variety of fruits and nuts. One year we made Christmas gift baskets that were filled with mason jars that had different cookie mixes in them and other mason jars had a variety of soup mixes in them and each jar had a recipe with instructions tied to the neck of the jar.

My Dream Christmas Gift Baskets
When I think of my dream Christmas gift baskets they are not filled with extravagant high priced gift items, but more a mix of reminiscent small gift items and other newer items. I think I would start with some old fashioned candy called Angel Food. I haven't had any for decades but it would make a great start for christmas gift baskets. I would add some chocolate covered cherries which were always my dad's favorite candy. I also love a very nice large cigar El Presidente would be perfect contrast to the sweet candy. To top off my Christmas gift baskets I always want a new pen and a new leather bound journal for the next year.

Christmas Gift Baskets for You
I am not sure what your idea of Christmas gift baskets is, but I am sure that you think I have chosen poorly. The great thing is that you can choose what you would give and if you have someone who really cares about you, you can tell them what you would like in Christmas gift baskets.

Bad Christmas Gift Baskets
The one thing you should not do is give one of those cheese and sausage gift baskets that are pre packaged and shrink wrapped and are very impersonal. The only time you should give such a gift is if you are giving gifts to sales people who visit your office or if you are a sales person and dropping off gifts to all your clients and you don't really care about them personally.
